The Noble Tooth Relic of Buddha is most
important and most prestigious thing of Buddhist. The Noble Tooth
Relic temple is the place where Noble Tooth Relic is Kept. There fore Kandy town
is named as World Heritage city. There was a king called Guhaseewa at Kalinga of Indiya at 302 AD - 330 AD. To protect Noble Tooth Relic, It was sent to Sri Lanka with prince Danta and Princess Hemamala who were his children. In that time King who govern the Sri Lanka was King Meghawarna. This King accepted it well and respected it. There after all kings who govern Sri Lanka has been Celebrating it with hold processions. Every king had main duty in his Govern time that protect the Noble Tooth Relic. Present Tooth Relic Temple has created by king 1st Wimaladharmasooriya. Today also we can see the Noble Tooth Relic, Kandy Tooth Relic procession and Tooth Relic Temple. Don't miss the visit it. It's heritage of Sri Lanka.
